Being Transformed

I am a mother of four children, am in my early forties, and live in La Palma. I have been meeting with the local church for five years. When Jesus became the real head of our family, there was a recovery in position between my husband and I. Before, in my family I was the head and the authority in everything. Now I thank the Lord that my thought and attitude toward my husband have been changed. Gradually, I see myself being made more like God (1 John 3:2) through applying the holy Word to my daily life. I feel this is to work out my salvation (Philippians 2:12). When I first read the Bible I didn't understand the difference between “having salvation” (John 3:15) and “working out my salvation,” but now I know clearly. I who was a child of Satan (John 8:44) became a child of God through believing in the shedding of the Lord's blood on the cross for my redemption. I will never go back to be a child of Satan. This is salvation. From now on, to live as a child of God, I have to be transformed in my soul to match Him (2 Corinthians 3:18). Transformation is happening during my lifetime. When the Lord comes to the earth as our bridegroom (Revelation 19:7, 9), the believers who are transformed to be His bride will enter into the wedding feast. This bride is the one new man (Ephesians 2:15-16), which is the church, the Body of Christ, today. “Transformation” is not an outward change, but it is an inward metabolic change (2 Corinthians 4:16); it is not is by my efforts to change but by my eating the Lord's Word (John 6:57, 63). In transformation, old things go out and new things come in. I want to be conformed to the Lord's image (Romans 8:29) by eating Christ who is the daily manna (John 6:51) so the Lord's life will increase in me (John 3:30) that I might match Him with all the other believers as His bride.
